Great Backyard Bird Count - February 17-20, 2023

This year's Great Backyard Bird Count will be held on February 17-20, 2023. This is a great chance to make a difference in a great citizen science project. For this event, you can participate by counting the birds in your yard or at any location in the world. You can participate with a single count or count birds at multiple locations on any or all of the days of the event. For more information, see the Great Backyard Bird Count website at: https://www.birdcount.org/

Annual Officer and Board Member Election Update

During the January Annual Meeting, Board and Officer elections were held. After serving for several years, Jonathan Ringdahl decided to hand over the reigns and Mark Webster was elected to take his place as President of the Coulee Region Audubon Society. First and foremost, we would like to extend a huge Thank You! to Jonathan for his years of service as our organization's President! He did a great job and donated a huge amount of time, effort, and energy to make the Coulee Region Audubon Society succesful during his terms as President. Thanks also to Mark for assuming that leadership role in our Chapter! Currently, the office of Vice President as well as an at-large position on the Board of Directors are open. We could sure use your help with either of these positions! Thanks, Coulee Region Audubon Society Board of Directors

The Myrick Park Center is located on the south edge of the Myrick Marsh in Myrick Park. The address is: 789 Myrick Park Dr, La Crosse, WI. We are excited to see everyone in person again!

2023 Annual Meeting - January 18, 2023 @ 7:00 PM

Our January membership meeting is our Annual Meeting. Due to weather concerns, we will once again be doing this as a Zoom meeting. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM and the night's activities will start with our business meeting.   The business meeting portion of the evening will include an election of board members and officers, a report of the current financial status of the organization, and other current status discussions. When the business meeting part of the Annual Meeting is complete, it will be followed by an opportunity for members to share some of their favorite nature photos (please limit to 25 per person).
